There is one particular young girl I want to share with you about.
She is very special, as are all the children we minister to. This girl is only three years of age. Each time she sees me on visitation she comes running to me and gives me one of the best hugs ever. This is not what it was like at first. She would come and sit on the tarp for Sunday school and not smile much at all. She would raise her hand for prayer though (which is so special). I had the honor of praying with her and telling her each week how God loves her and how we do too. For the last month every time she would see us coming she would get a huge smile and run to us. The last two times I saw her I told her “God loves you”. She responded: “God loves you”. I said, “I love you”. And she said “I love you”.
Yesterday was our last meeting in her complexe for the semester so I was so glad to get to see her. I had her look straight into my eyes and I told her she was so special. She had the biggest smile and was glowing. It is amazing how at even such a young age these children receive words of life. They also receive negative words. That is why we need to always be speaking words of life to them; the Word of God. Their spirit picks it up and it will become an anchor to their soul. Praise God for His Word!
